Great Advice for Aspiring NCAA Athletes
Alicia Whittle offers excellent advice for all rising college students - not just aspiring NCAA student-athletes. Having been blessed to work closely with and mentor three “generations” of student-athletes, first at a Pac-12 university and then at West Point, I can attest to every bit of advice offered by this insightful young woman. Employers aggressively recruit, retain, train, and promote former college athletes who achieved success both on the field, court, or track and in the classroom. These young people handle far more on a daily and weekly basis than their peers while juggling their many responsibilities. Moreover, grit, loyalty, perseverance, and mental toughness provide the core of their DNA.
